Abstract:
This worksheet records graphically the branch cuts and closures used for the twelve elementary functions arcsin, arccos, arctan, arccsc, arcsec, arccot, arcsinh, arccosh, arctanh, arccsch, arcsech, and arccoth in Maple 7. The branch cuts and closures are displayed by experiment using three-dimensional plots of the Riemann surface sections and by samples along the cuts.
