The Ontario Research Centre for Computer Algebra
is mandated to perform fundamental research in and
development of mathematical software, focusing on
Computer Algebra (CA).
Current projects include:
Languages and environments for CA;
Symbolic-numeric algorithms;
Symbolic linear algebra;
Symbolic analysis of ODE's and PDE's.
Its founding in 1999 was made possible by grants from the Ontario
Provincial Government;
the Federal Government of Canada; and
support from Waterloo Maple Inc.
ORCCA Western Laboratory opening
The official opening of the ORCCA Laboratory at The University of Western
Ontario was held on Friday, March 2, 2001.
